Crystal Kung-Minkoff discusses Erika's laxative comment, Camille's 'boring' diss, and RHOBH's 'Harder' second season
Real Housewives cast members always say that their second season is the toughest. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' sophomore season was no exception for Crystal Kung-Minkoff. A guest at Kathy Hilton's RHOBH screening on Wednesday, Crystal expressed her frustration over the difficulty of filming, as well as watching, season 12. A statement Crystal made on July 20 to Entertainment Tonight said, "I felt that way." Crystal continued, "And it looks harder, too! When I rewatched, I was like, "Oh, this is just part of [the process]...' and then I was like, 'Ugh.'" At the time I didn't know either, really- I felt it in my heart, but I was like, "Oh, this is just part of the process... '"
Crystal found reliving the drama brought about by the loss of 14 friends (which she has since confirmed is three) particularly frustrating. The fact that she couldn't elaborate as to why the fallout occurred, she feels that her story was twisted. She explained that it was actually about the show. It doesn't air because it breaks the fourth wall." The jealousy between Crystal and some of her friends led to the loss of contact between them She noted that sometimes people do not want other people to leave their bubbles of familiarity. Crystal describes the new castmate as "black and white," and she says she appreciates the fact that she won't conform to what people want her to be. Diana Jenkins was added to the show for season 12 as a newbie, and she's received backlash online for being blunt and even cold.

Crystal explained that she wasn't forgiving because once she felt wronged, it was difficult for her to see things from a different angle. The reasons for people's harsh treatment of her are understandable, but they're just part of her character." Crystal's then-recent comments regarding her eating disorder were brought up by Kyle Richards on Wednesday night's episode of RHOBH, encouraging the group to discuss the topic. Crystal admitted to being surprised. As a viewer, I posted how I was feeling, like 'Oh, they brought it up again because I always think there is a show and a life outside of the show.' Erika Jayne shockingly brought up the idea of using laxatives once it had been mentioned. Having said that, Crystal told Entertainment Tonight, "I believe everyone responds differently to uncomfortable situations. "Everyone is different. Some people are more empathic, some people are awkward, and some people can be judgemental."
Despite accepting Erika's comment well, Crystal wasn't impressed by her behavior towards Garcelle Beauvais' 14-year-old son, Jax, whom she told to "get the f-CK outta here" earlier this month. However, she never intended for the incident to cause a feud between them. Crystal explained that she avoided a confrontation because she didn't want Jax to experience another adult screaming. "We might have a discussion later, but at this moment it's about protecting myself and preserving myself." Taking note of Camille Grammer's recent criticism of Crystal's storyline, Crystal continued, "I don't care what people think." "There are people who like to comment about things like this, I don't know." As someone very busy, I don't have time for things like that. She might want to get busier. "Find a job." According to Crystal, she and Sutton Stracke have been in a "good place" since their racial feud last year, after Garcelle accused her of lying. The last time she texted me - very recently - she said some nice things. As far as she is concerned, I did not do what Garcelle accused me of doing to Sutton. “She knows that,” Crystal said.
