For song's 15th anniversary, Nick Jonas reveals secrets behind 'S.O.S'
Taking to his TikTok account, Nick Jonas shared a few "fun facts" about the iconic Jonas Brothers track "S.O.S.".Nick revealed that he wrote the song when he was 13 in a hotel room in New York City.
As it turns out, "S.O.S." was originally written with a different tune. We thought, 'It needs to be more memorable right off the bat,' so we developed that guitar line when we got into the studio with John Fields, our producer.
But the tune wasn't the only thing that was changed during production. We originally called the album 'A Call I'll Never Get,' but when we were making the track list, everyone kept calling it 'S.O.S.' So, that's what we called it."
Despite its name, the song was undeniably a hit-and Nick won't forget that moment. The song went to No. 1 on iTunes for the first time back in '07, he recalled. To this day, one of my favorite songs to play live."
Toward the end of his video, Nick expressed his gratitude to the fans who "sang your emo little hearts out then and now to every word." By reposting Nick's TikTok to his Instagram Stories, Kevin Jonas shared the love.
As for Joe Jonas, it's only appropriate that he pokes fun at the occasion. Joe made his own TikTok where he dueted Nick's clip. Using the "What Fruit Are You?" filter while Nick describes the original song's tune, he started by listening intently to Nick's words. Brotherly love is just the way it is.
