A live virtual audition will be available for Texans to try out for "American Idol.".Wednesday, Aug. 10, will be the date for virtual zoom auditions for "American Idol" in Texas. For a chance to be a part of the renowned show, hopeful stars can upload their talents online and receive feedback from producers.

As part of the virtual waiting room, "American Idol" alumnus Fritz Hager will take questions and offer audition tips from Texans. Using Zoom auditions, the show's producers virtually search every state across the country to find the best singers as part of the "Idol Across America" campaign. When the pandemic hit, the show's 18th season shifted to a remote setup. Since then, the show has continued to use virtual setups to find talent.
