title iconA Pokemon fan art combining Bulbasaur and Gengar

Pokemon fans enjoy a picture depicting Gengar and Bulbasaur combined, which is hauntingly beautiful.Since Pokemon Scarlet and Violet were announced, many artistic Pokemon fans have been creating their own designs inspired by them. One Pokemon fan has created a Pokemon that shares similar characteristics with Bulbasaur and Gengar, rather than taking inspiration from Gen 9's upcoming games.

Both Bulbasaur and Gengar were part of the original pocket monsters introduced in 1996 with the release of Pokemon Red and Blue. Players can choose between Charmander and Squirtle as their starters, with Bulbasaur being the Grass-type starter. One of the most iconic starter Pokemon of all time, Bulbasaur evolves into Ivysaur, followed by Venusaur. On the other hand, Gengar is a Ghost Type of Pokemon that is the final evolution of Gastly and Haunter. As one of the most captured and most battled Pokemon in the franchise, Gengar can be found in many video games.

This Ghost-type Pokemon shares a lot of similarities with the Grass-type starter thanks to a Reddit user named Imkitoto. Bulbasaur's bulb is replaced by fog rather than green in this design. Imkitoto calls this fan-made design "Gengasaur," which is seen in the background of the picture.

A number of Pokemon fans thanked Imkitoto for creating Gengasaur and praised its artwork. EndeavouringCat, another Reddit user, asked Imkitoto to make other designs based on existing Pokemon. According to Imkitoto, they have already made other Pokemon-inspired artwork and may upload a new one soon.

"Charmpharos," a crossover between Charizard and Ampharos, was also uploaded today. In addition to mixing designs of beloved Pokemon franchises, Imkitoto also makes fan art mixing Hunter x Hunter, Among Us, Spy x Familie, Demon Slayer, and Avatar: The Last Airbender franchises.

In other Pokemon news, a Pokemon Presents stream will be held on August 3 and will reveal more about the upcoming video games, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. These two games have been eagerly anticipated, especially after Pokemon Legends: Arceus received such high praise earlier this year. Fans can enjoy artists like Imkitoto's beautiful creations online while they wait for the upcoming installments of the franchise.
