At Ballpark Village, Fair Saint Louis hosts elite Esports competitions
LOUIS - Live Esports competitions are taking place this weekend at Ballpark Village. From Friday through Sunday, Fair Saint Louis will host the Gateway Legends Collegiate Invitational & High School Open tournament. Besides the top college teams, eight Missouri high school teams are also competing. Each of the teams will receive a $10,000 scholarship. Several celebrity casters will be on hand, as well as esports panels, educational sessions, and live music.
St. Louis has a long tradition of sports, science, innovation, and technology, and the Gateway Legends High School Open features an immersive esports experience for high school students along with an enticing scholarship prize. The event will be a standout event, and we hope that esports will remain a staple for Fair Saint Louis going forward. It's one of the many ways Fair Saint Louis is excited to expand its outreach in the community," Fair Saint Louis Vice-Chair Jessica Fox said.
