A 'rocket League' Mode Has Been Added To Aniquilation
As you play this game, you will be following the adventures of a pilot and her boss who are wandering in space, trying to return home after a mysterious mystery has been discovered in their galaxy. How does this all count as Rocket League news? This is Aniquilation’s attempt at a Rocket League-like game mode, ‘GOAL!’. You play sci-fi football in this mode, racing around a planet to score more goals than your opponent.
It has been a year since Rocket League was released when many titles have attempted to capitalize on the concept. Roller Champions, a competitive 3v3 Roller Derby game, is the most popular of these. There was a lot of hype surrounding Roller Champions when it was announced as well as throughout the Alpha and Beta phases, but it seems they left it too long before releasing it, and now that it is available, there doesn't seem to be as much of an audience. In Soccer Rally 2: World Championship, you drive slightly more realistic cars around a smaller field scoring goals similar to Rocket League.
Especially if you don’t have a gaming console to play Rocket League, Turbo League is probably the closest thing you can find. A Rocket League-inspired mobile game, Turbo League lets you drive on walls, bounce through the air, and score goals. You can play solo or with friends in Turbo League. Solo mode allows you to practice against AI bots. In multiplayer, you play 3v3 against other teams all over the world in a similar format to Rocket League.
In the same way that most games are dying, and with all the competition popping up, Rocket League isn’t. Rocket League’s competitive scene is thriving more than ever, especially since the last RLCS major brought the first-ever non-EU/NA team to the final. It is not surprising that the Gamers8 Crew battle tournament has the largest prize pool in Rocket League so far. FURIA (Brazilian team) won the Riyadh Rocket League tournament, earning $500,000. This made them the highest earner of the year and the seventh highest ever in Rocket League history. From a European/North American game with some OCE teams to one of the most inclusive games in the world in the past three years, Rocket League has evolved.
