In Obi-Wan Kenobi, a cameo from one of the most important 'Star Wars' characters changes everything

In Obi-Wan Kenobi's six-episode season, the title character illustrated his grief over Anakin Skywalker's death and gave us a peek into what's going on beneath Darth Vader's helmet.

Vader seems to have remained obsessed with Obi-Wan after Revenge of the Sith, with the Inquisitors knowing that the only way to please him is to help him locate his former master

As a result of his obsession with revenge and closure, Vader almost died. Because of his personal desires, he decided to go up against Obi-Wan alone.

The result was Obi-Wan finally getting into the Jedi groove and demonstrating the fierce lightsaber skills and Force abilities he had displayed on Mustafar that allowed him to defeat Anakin.

Vader was left gasping for air after Obi-Wan disabled his life support system and sliced open his helmet at the conclusion of their duel. The moment Vader believed Anakin was murdered by him, he departed, leaving Vader's thirst for vengeance still burning.

There is no doubt that Vader's emotions are getting in the way of the way he wants to rule the galaxy with an iron fist. He should have a talk with his advisors about it. And there is only one person he will listen to in this galaxy...

That's right, it's our old pal Sheev Palpatine. Palpatine poked fun at Vader, saying 'you appear agitated', asking Vader if 'your thoughts are clear on him' Is it possible that your feelings for your old master have left you demoralized?”. Basically, tell him to 'knock it off, dummy'.

Vader has understood the message, making this scene a pivotal scene where his motivation shifts and he tries to leave Anakin's past in the past.

In his next live-action appearances in Rogue One and in A New Hope, Vader is revealed to be more of an unflinching inhuman monster than he was at this point.

Anakin takes belatedly a turn to the light in Return of the Jedi as a consequence of Palpatine's past . Consequently, Ian McDiarmid's appearance is one of the most significant moments in Vader's character development during the entire season. Disney Plus offers the complete Obi-Wan Kenobi series.
