A World of Warcraft experience boost is coming to the classic servers

As of the latest content patch for World of Warcraft Classic: The Burning Crusade, the next expansion, Wrath of the Lich King, is now available.

Blizzard announced that the 10th expansion, Dragonflight, will be released by or on December 31, 2022, the first expansion since World of Warcraft launched in 2004.The Burning Crusade is the first expansion of World of Warcraft: Classic, a relaunch of the original game with minor changes.

World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade servers are getting a boost in experience to prepare for the launch of Wrath of the Lich King, it has been announced via a post on the Blizzard forums.

A pre-patch for Wrath of the Lich King, Patch 3.4.0, is expected to introduce the experience buff. Wrath of the Lich King expansion buffs will last 6-8 weeks and end when Wrath of the Lich King releases. They will also apply to new realms.

Wrath of the Lich King does not have a release date officially. As soon as the pre-patch releases 'Death Knight', players will be able to use the experience buff as soon as the realm merges for The Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King are scheduled.

A new realm for Wrath of the Lich King is meant to encourage players to come back without being at a massive resource disadvantage compared to players who have been playing since World of Warcraft: Classic was released. As well as giving players an experience boost on the fresh servers, Blizzard also wants to offer alt levels to players who want them.

Blizzard has worked to address faction imbalance across all Wrath of the Lich King servers, and hopes for a longer-lasting, more balanced situation on these servers.

Prospective players are still skeptical about fresh realms, even though they offer them a fresh start. There are certain limitations on these fresh realms, such as characters cannot be moved onto or off of these realms for 60 days.

During the 90 days, players can transfer their characters between servers or off of them. Overpopulation can ruin economies, resulting in imbalance or letting one particular faction inundate the server population. The servers may die out if too many players leave.

There is a limited-time offer available for play with a subscription to World of Warcraft Classic: The Burning Crusade on Mac and PC currently
