Monolith Soft and Nintendo announced an Expansion Pass for Xenoblade Chronicles 3, which will add missions, characters, and storylines to the game between 2022 and 2023.
A new Xenoblade Chronicles 3 expansion will be available along with the main game when it launches on July 29 for $29.99 / £29.99.
The pass itself is broken down into four pieces, with the first release happening the day Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is released and the final release happening by the end of 2023.
In the Expansion Pass which launches on July 29, you will be able to unlock a variety of unnamed 'helpful items' as well as color variants for your characters.
As part of the second drop, a new Hero character will be introduced, along with new quests, a new Challenge Battle, and new outfits.
Nintendo hasn't provided an exact release date, but the game is expected to arrive before the end of 2022. There will be a third drop before April 30, 2023,
once again adding a new Hero character and quests, Challenge Battle, and new outfits. No later than December 31, 2023, the final drop will introduce a brand new story scenario to the game.
It's presumably going to add a lot of plot to the game, since it's a full storyline, not just a few quests. The DLC for each wave will not be available individually.
So players will need to purchase the entire Expansion Pass if they want any of the additions. Check out everything we learned from the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Direct.
