Disney+ Has Set A Horrible Record With Ms. Marvel

There may be a burnout on MCU shows and films. Well, the film industry might not be hurting, but the television shows appear to be in serious trouble. Despite its new status, Ms. Marvel has achieved an embarrassing record for Marvel.

The new series was viewed over 775,000 times during its first five days of release, according to new data reports. Despite the fact that it does not sound like a small amount, it is the worst of any Marvel Comics Disney+ series. In comparison, Hawkeye drew 1.5 million viewers within its first five days.

There could be many factors leading to the downfall of Ms. Marvel. After the release of Moon Knight, fans were left reeling. Fans might not be looking for a story like Ms. Marvel, since it's geared more toward young adults.

In addition, people might be tired of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There has been a new series released nearly every three months since January of 2021.

The Swan and the Winter Soldier, Loki, What if...?, Hawkeye, Moon Knight, and now Ms. Marvel have all been released thus far. There is a lot of content to consume, and it may be time for people to take a well-deserved break.

Ms. Marvel has been a hit with Gen Z despite the low numbers overall. The show has recorded some of its best ratings among 20-24 year olds. This is good for bringing in a whole new audience to Marvel comics and corresponding stories.

Diverse audiences also tuned in to the show. Asian, Black, and Hispanic households tuned into this series more than the others. One reason might be that we got our first Pakistani superhero. That is good news for bringing in a more diverse crowd.

The media giant doesn't have to worry much though, as fans will always flock to whatever Marvel releases. The MCU might see some dips in users, but that won't stop fans from taking in everything they can about Marvel continuity.

Ms. Marvel might not have big cameos yet, as the season has just begun, but once another big name makes its way into the show, fans will be interested in how everything ties into it.

As of now, it is not known whether or not Captain Marvel will appear in the show, and it is also possible that Nick Fury will appear. Although it is only speculation, it is expected that all will come together for The Marvels.

Wed will see the release of the next episode of Ms. Marvel, which will be the third installment. Following that, there are three more episodes to see if any big-name Marvel heroes appear.

There will be a rise in numbers, as is the case with shows nearing their season finales. You can watch the first two episodes on Disney+ and decide if the series' lower rating is justified.

Thank You!
