The ‘Lightyear’ star reveals what he learned from Pixar

Despite not being the all-conquering hit Pixar is used to producing, Lightyear is a very fun adventure with some unexpected twists and a lot of heart.

Pixar movies are known for having excellent voice casts, with Chris Evans in the lead role, James Brolin as Emperor Zerg, and Taika Waititi as the green colonial defense recruit Mo Morrison.

As a director, Waititi is often praised, with the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder perhaps the hottest summer blockbuster of 2022.

However, he's amassed a decent voice-acting resume, voicing Korg in the MCU as well as appearing in Rick and Morty and The Mandalorian.

Waititi explained in an interview with Collider that he takes inspiration from Pixar's polished storytelling style.

Waititi's future looks bright right now. The next movie he will direct after Love and Thunder will be Next Goal Wins (which was extensively reshot after Armie Hammer was recast due.

The cannibal thing), followed by the live-action adaptation of Akira, and finally the hugely anticipated Star Wars movie.

There will also be an animated version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory for Netflix, a Flash Gordon movie, and an adaptation of Alejandro Jodorowsky and Moebius' awesome sci-fi comic The Incal.

Thank You!
