Escape From Tarkov's next update will be released by Battlestate Games tomorrow. Is it possible that the developer is trying to hide the surprise since it's Thursday? Since the pre-wipe event is just three days old, it is unlikely that it will happen.
The pre-wipe events usually take around a week to complete and the game to wipe, and there are historical examples of this happening as well.
Escape From Tarkov's official Twitter account announced the installation of the update and it will take place on Thursday, June 23, at 08:00 GMT / 00:00 PDT.
Approximately two hours are scheduled for server maintenance. During this time, the game will not be accessible to users.
Obviously, we can throw in some pesky assumptions. It is possible to wishfully discuss a wipe just to energize the players.
Thousands of people haven't played Escape From Tarkov for a long time, and their level of anticipation is sky-high. Hence, they will find this quite enjoyable.
As much as we wish the wipe would come tomorrow, it is hard to ignore the fact that the history of wipes in Escape From Tarkov suggests it will be tomorrow. Despite being Thursday, it's too early for the pre-wipe event to be completed.
It's more likely, though we can't completely rule anything out, that this patch will include some bug fixes and other preparations for the upcoming pre-wipe event.
Are there any chances that BSG will throw in a big surprise and wake up all the sleepy heads during tomorrow's installment period? Let's see!
