Nintendo Switch is the fourth best-selling console in the United States, surpassing PS4

The PlayStation 4 is presently the fifth best-selling console in the United States; it was fourth until April when it was surpassed by the Nintendo Switch.

A console that has sold more in North America in five years than the PS4 has since November 2013.

Since March 2017, Nintendo Switch has sold 107 million consoles worldwide, while PS4 has sold 117 million.

A difference of about ten million units despite a three-year delay in release demonstrates how the Kyoto company's platform has established itself on the market with significant numbers and considerable success.

NPD HW – Nintendo Switch unit sales have now overtaken those of the PlayStation 4, making it the 4th most popular console in the United States and the 6th most popular video game hardware platform overall. Only the PS2, Xbox 360, and Wii are ahead of it on consoles.

The Nintendo Switch has surpassed the PlayStation 2, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Wii as the fourth best-selling console in the United States.

While the PlayStation 4 has slipped to the fifth position.

Nintendo Switch has captivated a wide range of players, including both adults and children, thanks to its hybrid nature.

The Nintendo Switch has also eclipsed the 3DS in Japan, with over 24 million consoles sold; the next target is to surpass the Nintendo DS, which has sold over 32 million units in the Land of the Rising Sun.
