Jane Foster: The Mighty Thor will be one of the playable characters in Marvel's Avengers, according to Crystal Dynamics. After Spider-Man in November 2021, this will be Avenger's first new character since then.
A character who has appeared in the Thor comics since the early 1960s, Jane Foster Thor will be introduced in Update 2.5. According to a blog post announcing Jane Foster, she will be a unique hero with her own abilities.
According to Square Enix, "We design our Hero characters based on their core comic book identities, so, as a fellow wielder of Mjolnir, she will have a lot in common with the Opinions, but she will also have her own individual characteristics," the company said in a development update.
Neither the rest of this update nor its release date is known. As news regarding Update 2.5 rolls out, Square Enix will reveal more information about Jane's role.
Jane's announcement arrived alongside details about Update 2.4, which is slated to release in May. In update 2.4, the game's rotation of events will be reworked to be "fresh and engaging."
This will include a broader variety of rewards, higher-level gear rewards, and rewards for all heroes in a player's roster rather than just one.
Jane Foster's appearances on Marvel's Avengers aren't the only places she appears. Additionally, Natalie Portman is set to appear in the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder.
Crystal Dynamics released the game to mixed reviews, and the update appears to address many of the complaints. The single-player campaign initially appealed to us, but the loot-based endgame became tedious and repetitive as the game progressed.
