War in Ukraine delays Belarus-based developer's replacement project until 2023

Replaced, the anticipated sci-fi, retro-futuristic action platformer, has been postponed until 2023, according to developer Sad Cat Studios and publisher Coatsink.

During Xbox's E3 2021 event, Replaced was confirmed for Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. It'll be available on Game Pass when it's ready.

The Belarusian studio announced on Twitter that the current conflict in Ukraine had had a significant impact on the game's development.

The game's release date has been moved back from its initial 2022 release date to prioritize the studio's staff's physical and mental wellness, according to Coatsink, parent company Thunderful, and Sad Cat.

REACH, an artificial intelligence trapped inside a human body, as seen in 2014's The Fall, guides players around a decaying metropolis in an alternate version.
